There  is a great battle being waged by the Democrats to destroy Trump and everything good about America.  The Democrats are the party of hate, lies, and racism. The left are so desperate to destroy Trump that they are willing to take down the entire country with their hate. President Donald J. Trump is a true patriot who loves this country and has spent nearly every day since his inauguration working to Make America Great Again. Despite all the fake news the results are speaking for themselves. June 2019 had the highest percentage gain in the Dow for the month of June since 1938. The S&P 500 also posted its best first half of a year since 1997, soaring 17.3% and reaching an all-time high. Jobs have returned to the US, unemployment across the board is at a record low, and ‘The Wall’ is being built. There have been nearly 300 accomplishments  that Trump has achieved during his first term, more than any president since George Washington.

The Democrats have assembled 25 challengers, and all of the major ones like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has publicly stated that the first action they plan to take is to revoke the Trump tax cuts. They are pushing Socialism, a failed economic model which has led every nation that enacted it to ruin. They are pushing FREE HEALTHCARE for illegal immigrants. There is NO SUCH THING as Government provided anything.  Period. Anything provided by the Government is TAXPAYER FUNDED. Taxation is theft, and I for one plan on keeping as much of MY money which I EARNED.  There is no such thing as a FREE LUNCH! Someone, somewhere along the line paid for that free lunch which you believe you are entitled to.

I have no desire to listen to the lunacy being spouted by the Democrats. I have not watched  their two debates because I am voting for Trump in 2020. Perhaps the worst attempt at pandering to minorities, (and probably also the most racist moment in American politics) was when three of the Democratic hopefuls suddenly broke into Spanish dialog to discuss their platform. I have nothing against Hispanics, but this is America and although we have no ‘official’ language, it is understood to be English. The Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and all of the founding documents of this great nation are written in English.

When my ancestors immigrated legally to the US in the 1800’s they either spoke English, or they made every attempt to learn it quickly. I would never willing move to a foreign land without a firm grasp of that nation’s language. If for some reason I found myself displaced to a foreign land, I would also not demand that they speak MY language.  The Democrats are attempting to get illegal aliens to vote. ONLY US CITIZENS are allowed to vote in US ELECTIONS. The highest instances of voter fraud occur in states which do not have ID requirements. You need ID for so many things in this great land, and most citizens have no problem presenting it to open bank accounts, cash checks, rent big ticket items, etc. Identification is a necessary component of everyday life, and no law-abiding citizen should have any qualms about presenting it for important things, like voting.

If you believe that Republicans are racists, you have been lied to. If you believe Trump is bad for America, you have been lied to. The true racist party has always been the Democrats. The Democrats supported slavery, and created the Klu Klux Klan. The first Republican president Abraham Lincoln fought a civil war to end slavery. On January 16, 1865, Union General William T. Sherman issued Special Field Order No. 15 which confiscated as Federal property a strip of coastal land extending about 30 miles inland from the Atlantic and stretching from Charleston, South Carolina 245 miles south to Jacksonville, Florida. The order gave most of the roughly 400,000 acres to newly emancipated slaves in forty-acre sections. A mule was also to be provided to work the section. President Lincoln approved the order. After the assassination of President Lincoln, Democrat President Andrew Johnson revoked it and returned the confiscated lands to the original southern landowners, providing they swore allegiance to the USA.  Thus ended the compensation for slavery , killed by the Democrats.

The Democrats want control of you from cradle to grave, control over your every thought, control over your every penny, control over your very life. If you want to be a slave, vote Democrat. If you support life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, pull that Republican lever every election.         

President Trump has succeeded in Making America Great, and if we want to Keep America Great we are going to have to stay vigilant because should he not win re-election in 2020, all of his accomplishments will be erased by the left who want Socialism and equal poverty for all. Why tariffs are really good.

The Rise of the Red Dragon.

Just as the symbolic bald eagle represents the United States, the Chinese dragon has long represented China. In Chinese culture, the color red symbolizes luck, happiness and joy. Unfortunately about the middle of the 20th century, red took on another meaning when referring to China, the red of communism. Mao Zedong declared the founding of The People’s Republic of China on October 1st, 1949 following the defeat of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, who fled to Taiwan at the end of the Chinese Civil War. Taiwan became a new republic much like the ill fated Republic of Formosa which occupied Taiwan for a mere five months in 1895 before being crushed by mainland China. Taiwan fared much better and continues to exist to this day as it’s own country, but both Taiwan (The Republic of China) and Mainland ‘Red’ China (The People’s Republic of China) each claim that they are the ‘real’ and ‘only’ China. This led to the One-China Policy which was first stated in the Shanghai Communiqué of 1972: The wording declares that “the United States acknowledges that Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Strait maintain there is but one China and that Taiwan is a part of China. The United States does not challenge that position.” It was a diplomatic solution to a complicated mess. Mainland or communist China is by size the 4th largest country by area, and the largest by population. It was then, and continues to be today, a major port of trade.  

There has been a significant imbalance in trade with China for decades, and the problem has been getting worse due to a lax attitude from prior administrations. Since the population of China has exceeded a billion people for more than 40 years, many leftist politicians and even some conservatives felt there was no stopping the production powerhouse of the Red  Dragon.

So far in 2019, as of the first trimester ending April 30th, the trade deficit was $106.8 billion. Assuming the same rate for the remaining 8 months of the year, that would amount to a projected imbalance of $320.4 billion.  That would place it slightly higher than it was in 2012, the first year it exceeded $300 billion and came in at $315.1 billion. Both numbers are small in comparison to last year’s whopping trade deficit of $419.5 billion in 2018!

Killing Jobs to feed ‘The Red Dragon’!

The terms socialism and communism are interrelated and often interchangeable. There are a few minor differences. In communism, the people own the factories and work together for the public good. Everyone is paid the same. In socialism the government owns the factories, and the people work for the state, which decides what you are paid. Both systems lead to widespread poverty. Both systems are incompatible with capitalism which  creates wealth, freedom, and opportunity.

Because the citizens of China are being paid a slave wage, goods produced there cost significantly less. If the cost of importing cheaper foreign goods is less than  the cost of producing goods domestically, then there is no demand for domestic goods, and the domestic jobs ‘go away’.  Why would any company pay a U.S. citizen $30 an hour or more, when they can open a plant in a foreign country, pay foreign workers a fraction of their domestic counterparts, and then import the cheaply produced goods. Hence the needs for tariffs.

Feed Americans, starve the Dragon!

Tariffs are a tax on imported goods to make them on a level playing field. If both items cost exactly the same, it becomes a matter of quality. If the quality is also equal, then it falls to the whim of the consumer. When an ‘excessive’ tariff is placed on a foreign good, it is referred to as protectionism, because the domestic good becomes the only inexpensive option, and the domestic industry is thus protected by the government.

A good rule of thumb when dealing with comparable quality and cost is to always buy domestic. A better position for the good of the nation is to ALWAYS buy the domestic option, despite the cost, because the job you are saving belongs to a fellow citizen. ‘Be American , buy American’ is still a catchy slogan embraced by patriots looking to ‘Make America Great Again’. Tariffs are totally unnecessary if citizens flat out refuse to buy any foreign made good.

Trump the Dragon slayer!

President Donald J. Trump is working day and night to defend our nation from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. His economic stance has been to bring back industry to the USA, reversing the job losses creating by sending production overseas. Tariffs are one tool in his arsenal, and rest assured, he has the best interests of the nation at heart. Don’t listen to the garbage spewed by the liberal media as they attempt to sway you against this great patriot and all he’s doing. It takes a tough man to stand up for national interests. If you don’t support putting American interests first, then you are not a true American. We are privileged to live in the greatest country the world has ever know, and freedom and opportunities are endless for those who are willing to seize the day and work for their prosperity.   The bottom line is, if you are against American exceptionalism, there are  plenty of other counties where you can ‘hang your hat’. DATA FACT

Conservative Republican Ronald W. Reagan was the 40th president of the United States. Shortly after taking office on January 20th, 1981, he began his goal of making America great again by implementing sweeping new political and economic initiatives. Dubbed “Reaganomics”, his supply-side economic policies advocated reducing government spending, economic deregulation, and most importantly tax rate reduction. These measures to spur economic growth were directly responsible for the prosperity seen in the 1980’s.    

One of the most radical changes to society which sprang from ‘the decade of wealth’ was the sudden birth of the home computer. Once a staple of science fiction, the idea of actually owning your own computer became a reality. The earliest practical uses were business applications and word processing, as well as early text based games. Computer technology advanced rapidly. An observation by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore that number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles about every two years, while production costs halved, became known as Moore’s Law.

Many tech savvy individuals experimented with software development to justify the cost of purchasing these very expensive machines. There was no easy way of transferring data although there were some primitive networks for those who knew how to contact and connect to them with a modem. This changed on March 12th 1989 when Tim Berners-Lee dreamed up a system of Information management allowing data to be exchanged by multiple computers over a vast network, which we now refer to as the Internet and the World Wide Web. In 1992, IBM developed the first ‘smartphone’ called the Simon Personal Communicator. Today, thirty years after the birth of the internet, people have the sum total of human knowledge at their fingertips and the world has never been more connected.

A fist full of dollars

The are many ways to make money or save money using the internet and the world wide web, whole books have been written on it, thousands of them.

There are crowd-fund platforms to help you market your invention, e-banks which promise better interest rates and less fees, sites with personal finance tips and tricks, streaming media to watch or download, market places to buy and sell new or used items, the list goes on. The net is big business!

The magnificent seven

  1. Staying in touch – E-mail and text messages now exceed personal  letters and phone calls.
  2. Making friends – Social media allows us to connect with people we would never have met. InstantCoffeeWisdom has over a hundred followers from sixty countries around the world. My twitter account has over seven hundred followers, dozens of whom I’ve met and interact with. I’m grateful for all my friends and supporters.  
  3. Being creative – There are endless DIY tutorials online to demonstrate and inspire.
  4. Finding help – Got a problem? There’s a website that has an answer or solution.
  5. Learning – Online courses teach you anything if you study and apply yourself.
  6. Media – Nearly everything that’s ever been written, recorded, or filmed, exists somewhere online, usually available for free if you take the time to search for it.
  7. Shopping – E-commerce has changed the way we shop, and in many cases has brought about the death of some prominent chains. Radio Shack, Toys R Us, and Borders Books are all long gone, casualties of online shopping. Someone, somewhere in the world has the exact same, or very similar item for much less, and in some cases with free shipping.  You just need to search for it.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Everything I’ve listed so far has been good. The bad part is that with so much information and equal mis-information it’s easy to get the wrong source and end up believing in lies. Not everything online is beneficial, and sometimes digging through the ‘fake news’ to unearth the facts isn’t like finding a needle in a haystack, it’s like trying to find a needle in Kansas! The signal to noise ratio is just that great. Worse yet, certain social media platforms use algorithms to selectively edit what you see. Cookies stored in your computer’s memory record and track your browsing history, and bots customize what you see.

The ugly part of the web can range from annoying to horrific. There are some things online that you do NOT want to see, the stuff of nightmares placed online either as a warning, or because some sick individual wanted to share it because they liked it. What has been seen cannot be unseen, beware! There is an entire ‘dark web’ that’s lying under the surface and is just one misplaced or misguided keystroke away. There are internet ‘trolls’ who live to post hateful and hurtful comments in any post that has a reply field. Whole web pages have been created by cyber-bullies to intimidate and humiliate their victims. People have committed suicide over such personal attacks.There are more scams to trick you into handing over personal info than you can shake a stick at. Black-hat hackers have created so many forms of malware that anti-virus protection is a must on any computer. And then there’s the 800 lb gorilla in the room, PORN. When I was a young boy, porn was sold wrapped in plastic, and not kept on display. XXX theaters were in the seedy part of the city where you were afraid to walk in broad daylight. You had to go way out of your way to obtain smut, and now it’s in nearly every home in America, just a click away.

The internet is a tool, and like any tool it can be used for good or evil.  Whoever controls the flow of information can control you. Are you being lied to? Do you even realize it? Who is Q? Recent trends of new Democrats towards establishing socialism in the USA have been unsettling and depressing to most patriots and economists ‘in the know.’ The lack of education and intelligence behind those who think socialism is ‘awesome’ is just staggering. Unable to defend their irrational claims beyond ‘we won’t know until we try’, they often resort to their fallback tactics of changing the subject, or insulting the person questioning them. To make claims of new ideas being ‘scary’ or saying that a person is unqualified  to ask questions because they couldn’t understand the answer is the height of idiocy and indicative of a delusional view of reality.

There is nothing new or awesome about socialism.  The blueprint for totalitarian regimes which inspired some of the cruelest despots  in history was first co-written by Karl Marx and his lifelong friend Friedrich Engels in 1848 when they published The Communist Manifesto.  No civilized nation has ever thrived under socialism. Karl Marx spent his entire life living off the charity of others, earning what little income of his own as a writer. His radical philosophy often resulted in his being deported from one country to another, and he died in poverty  as a stateless person in 1883. Around ten of his friends in London buried his body in Highgate Cemetary.  In 2018, the city of Rheinland-Palatinate (AKA Trier) Germany sold VALUELESS ZERO EURO CURRENCY to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth.  Worthless currency to commemorate a destitute person with a worthless ideology is a hilarious attempt to cash in on souvenir-hungry collectors.

Millions and Billions and Trillions, oh my!

Since getting elected in November 2018, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been pressing for a delusional  government energy program which she calls ‘The Green New Deal.’  Two of the key points of this fools’ errand would be massive government spending which would more than DOUBLE, TRIPLE, and possibly even QUADRUPLE the national debt, and increasing taxes on the rich to 70% or more. In an interview with liberal newscaster Anderson Cooper  the rookie congresswoman was grilled about her unrealistic ‘Green New Deal’.

Anderson Cooper: How are you going to pay for all of this?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: No one asks how we’re gonna pay for this Space Force. No one asked how we paid for a $2 trillion tax cut. We only ask how we pay for it on issues of housing, healthcare and education. How do we pay for it? With the same exact mechanisms that we pay for military increases for this Space Force. For all of these— ambitious policies.

Anderson Cooper: There are Democrats, obviously, who are worried about your affect on the party. Democratic Senator Chris Coons, said about left-leaning Democrats, “If the next two years is just a race to offer increasingly unrealistic proposals, it’ll be difficult for us to make a credible case we should be allowed to govern again.”

In that same interview from the Jan 6th 2019 episode of the news show Sixty Minutes, the former waitress turned rookie congresswoman went on to claim the rich didn’t pay their fair share of taxes, and that President Donald J. Trump was a racist. Ironically, many high-ranking Democrats think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a fruitcake.  

The so-called Green New Deal may tally between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10-years, concludes the center-right policy American Action Forum, which is run by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who directed the non-partisan CBO from from 2003 to 2005.

Here’s the reality, the majority of all taxes collected in the USA are ALREADY, paid for by the rich, and the county CAN’T AFFORD any NEW spending of ANY kind because the country is BANKRUPT!  Currently, the national debt stands at over 22 Trillion dollars. The total amount of all taxes collected doesn’t even cover the existing  annual federal budget, let alone the interest we pay on the amount we owe on the national debt.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to spend your way into prosperity as you dig deeper and deeper into a bottomless pit of debt. Increasing the tax burden on the rich is like pouring gasoline to extinguish a wildfire.

If you examine the historical prices of the Dow Jones Industrial Average from its inception, the value of Dow was almost flat during decades of excessive taxation of the wealthiest Americans.  In 1913 the MOST the richest Americans paid was 7%. After Democrat President Woodrow Wilson encouraged Congress to pass the Revenue Act of 1916 the top tax bracket jumped to 67%, then 77% and by 1944 peaked at 94%. It never dropped below 70% until President Ronald Reagan pushed the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981 through Congress and slashed the top rate down to 50%. The Eighties was a time of great national prosperity and innovation. When you free up the financial resources of the mega-wealthy,  they tend to reinvest those resources back into the economy creating new jobs, which in turn raise addition tax revenues. If you punish the wealthy, they simply leave for greener pastures, opening factories and offices in foreign countries and creating the new jobs overseas. One recent example of  this was when Jeff Bezos snapped his fingers and killed a deal which would have created 26,000 new jobs because of the constant backlash from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who objected to promised tax breaks for Amazon.

Their average net worth is a record $4.1 billion.  The combined net worth of JUST the EIGHT RICHEST MEN is equal to the combined net worth of  50% of the population of the planet.  Americans lead the way with a record 585 billionaires, followed by mainland China with 373. About one quarter of all billionaires are American citizens.   Five of the 8 top richest billionaires are American citizens, and the first billionaire in world was also an American citizen, John D. Rockefeller . Again the combined total net worth of ALL billionaires worldwide is $9.1 trillion. Even though only a quarter of all billionaires are Americans, let’s ASSUME for this example that these lucky citizens  account for half of the wealth of all billionaires or $4.55 trillion.  Annual Federal spending is currently about $4.2 trillion. If we seized the entire assets of every single billionaire in the country, and left all 585 of these people standing naked, homeless, and hungry out in the street, we might be able to pay for THIS year’s federal budget.  And NEXT year, when we have ZERO billionaires living in the US, where are we going the get the funds to cover next year’s $4.2 trillion budget? If you think those 585 naked, hungry, homeless billionaires are going to suddenly become mega-rich again, I suggest then that you try standing naked outside in a big city and see how fast you gain wealth.  As always, I wish you success and happiness.

We the People of the United States

Tuesday November 6th 2018 is Election Day in the USA this year. Registered voters will be voting across our great nation to elect representatives to legislate on our behalf. With the power of our votes, we have the ability to support or change the current socio-economic state of our country and pass on to future generations a country we believe they will want. Because our votes are crucial to this process, it is imperative that we fully understand the ramifications of our political views, and how they are shaped.  In the USA, our capitalist economy, our religious freedoms, and the laws of our land are all entangled forming a tightly interwoven way of life. Changing one aspect threatens the other two legs of the platform, and many uneducated persons are in danger of making ill-conceived decisions based upon poor information.

Ayn Rand was a Russian-American writer and philosopher who wrote two best-selling novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. She was an atheist with little use for religion. Although her fiction is interesting and some of her ideas have merit, she really didn’t understand people much because she lacked the critical spiritual component needed to fill the God-shaped hole ever-present in the hearts of man. Although she passed away in 1982 at the age of 77, many libertarians, and some  right-wing conservatives are still intrigued by certain aspects of her personal philosophy, which she termed ‘objectivism’. Objectivism is fully secular and absolutist; it is neither liberal nor conservative nor anywhere in between. In a perfect world,  objectivism might work, but we do not live in a perfect world. Nevertheless, she had some good ideas. She supported laissez-faire capitalism, believed facts were facts independent of a person’s feelings or wishes, felt that reason was a man’s basic means of survival, and held that we ourselves were responsible for perusing our own self-interests and happiness.

UNFORTUNATELY,  many people today lack the discernment needed to sail through the vast sea of information, and lack the skill to avoid being blown off course by the hot air and smoke of certain politicians and entertainers as they try to steer for those islands of reason. Truth is always true, and it can stand up to criticism. If it is YOUR ‘truth’ and you have no evidence to back it up then it is not truth, but rather your feelings based on an emotional response.  As long as you continue to make snap emotional decisions to immediate problems, you will continue to make the wrong choices and will suffer greatly in the long term. I can’t tell you who to vote for, or what to believe, I only ask that you examine your convictions to see why you believe what you believe, and be certain that your ideology is fact based. The road to Hell is paved with ‘good intentions’.

  • Self Government: Government by the people.
  • Separation of Powers: Branches of government with different powers.

It is NOT the job of the government to run businesses, provide welfare subsidies, or redistribute wealth. Your ‘feelings’ are not the concern of the government.  Its only job is make sure that its citizens are safe, healthy and prosperous. Citizens have a legal right to live in this country,  Illegal immigrants do not. If they entered this country illegally, they do NOT belong here. A country without borders is not a country.  This is a great country and we have the freedom to live as we chose and pursue our own interests.  There is no reason to be poor in this country where every opportunity is available for you to pursue. BUT YOU HAVE TO DO IT, no one can make you do the right thing. According to a report by the Brookings Institute ( https://www.brookings.edu/research/work-and-marriage-the-way-to-end-poverty-and-welfare ) published in way back in 2003, if you don’t want to be permanently poor in this country, you only have to do three things:

  1. Finish High School
  2. Get a job
  3. Don’t have children out of wedlock.

The only thing preventing you from being successful is you yourself. Don’t blame anyone else for your bad choices.   If people don’t agree with you, it’s called disagreement, not hatred, sexism, or  bigotry. Mature adults don’t insult or attack people who disagree with them. 

This Tuesday I will be voting straight Republican. I’m doing this because I fully support the current President, and totally agree with him 100%. In the past two years since he won the 2016 election, my net worth has skyrocketed. To give a comparison, my investment gains since Trump became president less than two years ago  have nearly equaled the total gains earned over the entire 8-year Obama administration.   I dare you to tell me the economy is not booming.

I am financially stable, I am debt free, I have cash on hand to do with as I please. This includes charitable giving and I am not bragging when I say I willingly donate thousands of dollars each year to worthy Christian charities, and other concerns.

If you are jealous of wealthy successful people, you are in serious need of a reality check. I grew up poor and worked hard for everything I have. I was not poor because someone else was rich. Wealthy people create jobs and opportunities for others, they don’t take them away. There is no ‘white privilege’, no ‘glass ceiling’. They are just figments of the imagination created by the real enemies who want to destroy this great nation.  Don’t allow yourself to be misled by their lies. You can rise to greatness   if and only if you wholeheartedly decide to.

This coming election, ( as well as all future elections ) is about safety and prosperity. President Trump has Made America Great Again, and we now have the lowest unemployment rate in the history of our country and things are getting better every day. On Tuesday November 6th 2018, you need to make the correct decision and vote Republican, it is the only way to keep our citizens safe, prosperous, and free. For the sake of our freedom and for future generations we need to keep the momentum going and Keep America Great.  As Always, I wish you success and happiness.
